Giuseppe Vari's "Degueyo" plunges viewers into a brutal vision of the Old West, where desperation fuels a grim cycle of violence. The narrative centers on Danger City, a settlement terrorized by Ramon's bandits, who demand a rumored treasure and resort to ruthless tactics, leaving women and children vulnerable. The arrival of four strangers, however, introduces a flicker of hope and a potential for resistance against overwhelming odds. Vari masterfully crafts a tense atmosphere, amplified by the stoic performances of Giacomo Rossi Stuart, Dan Vadis, and Dana Ghia, who embody the rugged spirit of a genre defined by its moral ambiguity.
