DEATH’S DOOR: THE STORY OF HAROLD SHIPMAN

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling duality of Harold Shipman, a man who masterfully concealed his sinister nature behind the facade of a trusted physician. The narrative meticulously unravels how Shipman exploited his position and the trust of his community to engage in a prolonged spree of patient murders, all while battling a hidden addiction. The program also touches upon the equally disturbing case of Dorothea Puente, a seemingly benign care home operator whose façade was shattered by the discovery of multiple bodies. The stark contrast between the public personas and the horrific realities of these individuals serves as a grim reminder of the deceptive capabilities that can lie beneath the surface of ordinary life. It's a compelling, albeit unsettling, examination of true crime and the psychological complexities involved.
