Damian Chapa's 2009 directorial effort, "Death of Evil," plunges into a dark supernatural narrative that pits Native American spirituality against ancient devil-worshiping cults. The film stars Chapa himself as David Thunder, a man whose life is upended when he discovers his pregnant wife, Julieta (Natasha Blasick), hails from a lineage steeped in demonic practices. Julieta harbors sinister intentions for their unborn child and David himself, forcing him to harness his spiritual heritage to combat the encroaching evil.
