DEATH LINK

Cinemavixion Review

In an era dominated by the relentless pursuit of online validation, David Lipper's "Death Link" (2021) serves as a chilling cautionary tale. The film intricately weaves a narrative around a group of teenagers who, in their quest for viral fame, produce staged murder videos that tragically bleed into reality. As the lines between performance and peril blur, the small-town community finds itself ensnared in a terrifying descent. The film adeptly captures the anxieties of a generation tethered to social media, exploring the extreme measures individuals will take for attention and the profound consequences of losing touch with the real world. While the film may not have garnered widespread critical acclaim, its relevant themes and suspenseful execution offer a compelling, albeit grim, reflection on contemporary digital culture.
