DEATH ISLAND: PARANORMAL RETRIBUTION

Cinemavixion Review

Chris Penny's "Death Island: Paranormal Retribution" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of hubris and supernatural consequence. Despite explicit warnings from locals, a team of paranormal investigators ventures into a place where the dead are best left undisturbed. Their routine exploration quickly devolves into a desperate fight for survival as they awaken vengeful spirits and find themselves ensnared in a vortex of retribution. The film masterfully builds tension as the team races against time to uncover the truth behind the haunting, lest they become permanent residents of the spectral realm. While the film may not boast widespread critical acclaim, its earnest attempt to deliver a terrifying supernatural experience, coupled with a plot that emphasizes the dangers of meddling with forces beyond human comprehension, makes it a noteworthy entry for fans of the genre seeking a descent into the unknown. The tight runtime of 80 minutes ensures a relentless pace, driving the narrative forward without much respite, a characteristic that horror aficionados often appreciate.
