DEAL OF A LIFETIME

Cinemavixion Review

Paul Levine's "Deal of a Lifetime" offers a darkly comedic exploration of adolescent ambition and Faustian bargains. Set against the backdrop of high school hierarchy, the film cleverly uses the supernatural to dissect the often-ruthless social dynamics of teenagers. Michael A. Goorjian delivers a compelling performance as the sophomore protagonist, whose desire for popularity leads him down a treacherous path, masterfully orchestrated by Kevin Pollak's charismatic devil's agent. The narrative skillfully balances its fantastical premise with relatable themes of longing and consequence, making for an engaging, albeit cautionary, tale. While perhaps not a blockbuster, this film is a thoughtful piece that delves into the price of desire with a unique, memorable spin.
