DEAD MAN'S CARDS

Cinemavixion Review

James Marquand's "Dead Man's Cards" plunges viewers into a gritty, modern Western narrative set against the backdrop of a dilapidated nightclub. The film expertly charts the journey of Tom, a former boxer whose raw talent is recognized by his boss, a veteran who molds him into a club enforcer. This compelling setup is disrupted when a dangerous figure arrives, igniting a conflict that forces Tom to confront his allegiances and the brutal realities of his chosen path. The performances, particularly from Tom Bell and Samantha Womack, anchor the film's tense atmosphere. With its compelling plot and evocative setting, "Dead Man's Cards" offers a thoughtful exploration of loyalty and redemption within a classic genre framework.
