DEAD DRAW

Cinemavixion Review

Brian Klemesrud's 2016 crime thriller 'Dead Draw' plunges viewers into a high-stakes heist gone disastrously wrong. Starring Gil Bellows as Harrison and Michael Eklund as his conflicted safe-cracker Mack, the film centers on a meticulously planned theft of $25 million. However, their escape plan unravels with the discovery of their getaway pilot's murder, immediately casting a shadow of suspicion over the crew. Stranded and facing an unknown assailant, the thieves find themselves pitted against each other, their loyalty dissolving into paranoia as they race to identify the mole and confront their pasts. Despite a promising premise and a tense setup, 'Dead Draw' garnered a mixed reception, reflected in its IMDb rating of 4.9/10. The film explores themes of betrayal and desperation within a confined, claustrophobic setting, aiming for a gritty, suspenseful narrative that ultimately struggles to fully capitalize on its potential.
