DEAD DON'T DIE IN DALLAS

Cinemavixion Review

Israel Luna's "Dead Don't Die in Dallas" plunges viewers into a uniquely Texan nightmare, where a supposed miracle cure for AIDS mutates into a catalyst for a zombie apocalypse. This 2019 film, starring the inimitable Willam Belli alongside Richard D. Curtin and Krystal Summers, masterfully blends horror with dark comedy and social commentary. As a small town grapples with the undead, the narrative cleverly exploits the ensuing chaos to explore themes of religious intolerance and LGBTQ+ identity, pitting bigoted zealots against gay rebels. The film's audacious premise, coupled with its commitment to exploring these complex societal fault lines amidst the zombie outbreak, makes for a provocative and unforgettable cinematic experience that defies easy categorization.
