DAY 13

Cinemavixion Review

In "Day 13," director Jax Medel crafts a suspenseful thriller that delves into the anxieties of adolescence shadowed by darker, more sinister forces. The narrative centers on Colton, a teenager whose summer of babysitting his sister and nursing a crush on the enigmatic Heather across the street takes a chilling turn. Alex MacNicoll delivers a compelling performance as Colton, capturing the youthful blend of infatuation and burgeoning heroism. Martin Kove, as Heather's increasingly menacing foster father, provides a palpable sense of dread. The film effectively builds tension, weaving a tale of suspected occult rituals and desperate intervention, only to reveal a truth more disturbing than Colton could have imagined. While the external data notes a modest IMDb rating, the film's exploration of youthful courage in the face of unimaginable evil makes it a noteworthy, albeit unsettling, watch.
