DAVID BERKOWITZ: BORN TO KILL?

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling reign of terror instigated by David Berkowitz, the infamous 'Son of Sam' killer, in mid-1970s New York City. The narrative recounts his sinister pattern of randomly targeting young couples, plunging the metropolis into a palpable state of fear. Berkowitz's pseudonymous moniker, derived from a supposed demonic possession of his neighbor's dog, adds a layer of macabre mystique to his violent spree. The film highlights his unnerving communication with authorities through cryptic letters, a tactic that amplified public anxiety and kept residents confined to their homes after dark. This exploration into the psychology and impact of a serial killer offers a grim yet compelling look at a dark chapter in urban history.
