DARKNESS VISIBLE

Cinemavixion Review

"Darkness Visible" plunges viewers into a shadowy exploration of grief and inherited trauma. Set against the vibrant backdrop of India, the film follows Ronnie's return to his ancestral home following his mother's unsettling demise. As Ronnie, portrayed with a compelling blend of vulnerability and burgeoning unease, delves into the circumstances surrounding her death, he unearths a disturbing pattern of similar unsolved cases. Director Neil Biswas masterfully weaves a narrative that is as much an external mystery as it is an internal descent. The film expertly contrasts the lush Indian landscape with the encroaching psychological darkness that threatens to consume its protagonist. Salóme Gunnarsdóttir and Sayani Gupta deliver performances that add depth to this atmospheric thriller, making "Darkness Visible" a thought-provoking watch that lingers long after the credits roll.
