DARK WATCHERS - THE WOMEN IN BLACK

Cinemavixion Review

Philip Gardiner's 2012 sci-fi thriller, "Dark Watchers: The Women in Black," presents a chilling narrative of unexplained disappearances and cosmic encounters. Set in a tranquil coastal village, the film follows three women—Alexis, Lorna, and Sammy—whose nightly vigils for a recurring UFO sighting lead them down a rabbit hole of alien influence and blurred realities. The mysterious "Men in Black" loom large, their presence amplifying the sense of unease and paranoia. As the women delve deeper into the enigma, they confront the unsettling truth that they are not merely observers but subjects of an extraterrestrial agenda, their very existence being altered in ways both wondrous and terrifying. While the film's IMDb rating suggests a challenging reception, its ambitious premise exploring themes of lost time, alien control, and the fight for one's perception of reality offers a unique, albeit unsettling, cinematic experience for fans of low-budget, thought-provoking science fiction.
