DARK FUTURE

Cinemavixion Review

Greydon Clark's 'Dark Future' plunges viewers into a grim 21st-century dystopia, where humanity's remnants are subjugated by cyborg overlords. The narrative gains traction with the unexpected birth of a human child, a beacon of hope that ignites a desperate rebellion. While the film grapples with themes of survival, oppression, and the essence of humanity against a backdrop of synthetic dominance, its execution is somewhat hampered by its B-movie aesthetic. Darby Hinton anchors the film as a compelling, albeit flawed, protagonist leading the charge. The low IMDb rating suggests a challenging viewing experience for many, yet its niche appeal lies in its raw, unpolished take on a post-apocalyptic struggle, offering a cautionary glimpse into a future where the lines between man and machine blur with devastating consequences.
