DARK FIGURES

Cinemavixion Review

Alex Tait's "Dark Figures" plunges viewers into a found-footage nightmare, following five friends whose ill-fated backpacking trip becomes a descent into supernatural horror. The premise, centered on the accidental defilement of an ancient Native-American site, unleashes shadow spirits with the chilling ability to possess and manipulate the group. As the malevolent entities begin to pick off the friends one by one, the narrative intensifies with the added threat of a local tribe seeking a human sacrifice to appease the spirits. The film promises a terrifying adventure, aiming to keep audiences on the edge of their seats with its relentless pursuit of terror and the claustrophobic immediacy of the found-footage style. It explores themes of consequence, cultural respect, and the primal fear of the unknown.
