DARK BY NOON

Cinemavixion Review

Alan Leonard and Michael O'Flaherty's "Dark by Noon" presents a compelling, albeit densely plotted, exploration of time manipulation and its catastrophic consequences. Patrick Buchanan delivers a nuanced performance as Rez, a man haunted by loss and burdened by a perfect photographic memory, which proves to be both a gift and a curse in his desperate race against time. The film skillfully weaves a narrative of a covert agency exploiting a futuristic device for financial gain, only to unleash unforeseen global peril. Rez's journey to avert a nuclear catastrophe, while simultaneously trying to save his estranged daughter, forms the emotional core of this ambitious sci-fi thriller. Despite its low-key release, "Dark by Noon" offers a thought-provoking premise and a suspenseful execution that rewards viewers willing to engage with its intricate temporal mechanics.
