DANS L'ŒIL DU TIGRE

Cinemavixion Review

Carlos Brooks' "Dans l'œil du tigre" (English title: "Burning Bright") plunges viewers into a harrowing siege scenario. The film centers on Kelly Taylor, a young woman whose aspirations for higher education are abruptly shattered by financial ruin, orchestrated by her stepfather, Johnny Gaveneau. His misguided attempt at a safari show leads him to purchase a tiger, a decision that traps Kelly and her autistic brother, Tom, within their own home, now a de facto cage for a ravenous predator. The claustrophobic tension escalates as they realize they are not only confined but also prey to the escaped big cat. Brooks masterfully builds suspense, transforming a domestic setting into a terrifying arena where survival hinges on wit and courage against an primal threat. The film is a relentless exploration of vulnerability and the desperate fight for survival when home becomes a hunting ground.
