DANNY DYER MEETS THE 14 YEAR-OLD HOOLIGAN LEADER

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a stark and unflinching look into a subculture often relegated to the fringes of society. Danny Dyer's encounter with Bradley Welsh, a figure of considerable notoriety in the football hooligan scene, serves as the central narrative thread. Welsh's early life, marked by leadership of a large gang at a mere fourteen and a string of arrests by fifteen, paints a vivid picture of a youth shaped by aggression and premature responsibility. The film delves into the dynamics of street culture and the magnetic pull of belonging, even within a context of violence and lawlessness. It's a compelling, albeit challenging, exploration of formative years under extreme circumstances.
