DANGEROUS ONES

Cinemavixion Review

"Dangerous Ones" plunges viewers into a tense narrative where a romantic getaway in Texas quickly devolves into a perilous entanglement with a smuggling operation. The film, set in 2022, stars Joshua Logan Alexander and Mariel Ardila as a couple whose plans for escape from New York City are shattered by unforeseen criminal elements. Director Rankin Dean crafts a suspenseful atmosphere, drawing audiences into the couple's escalating predicament. While the plot description suggests a blend of crime and drama, the confined setting and the couple's vulnerability hint at a thriller that explores the fragility of plans when confronted by dangerous realities. The performances of Alexander and Ardila are key to grounding the story, portraying the fear and desperation of individuals caught in circumstances far beyond their control. "Dangerous Ones" offers a compelling, albeit unsettling, look at how easily a peaceful retreat can transform into a fight for survival.
