DANGER!! DEATH RAY!

Cinemavixion Review

Gianfranco Baldanello's 1967 "Danger!! Death Ray!" plunges viewers into a whirlwind of espionage and futuristic weaponry. Starring Gordon Scott as the intrepid Secret Agent Bart Fargo, the film chronicles his relentless pursuit of the masterminds behind a devastating death ray. Scott, a familiar face in historical epics, brings a stoic presence to the role of Fargo, navigating a treacherous landscape of international intrigue. The supporting cast, including Delfi Mauro and Nello Pazzafini, adds depth to the narrative, portraying characters whose loyalties and motives are as complex as the technology they seek. While the film may not have garnered major awards, its B-movie charm and pulpy premise offer a unique slice of 1960s sci-fi-thriller cinema. The straightforward plot, focusing on the race against time to recover a world-threatening invention, is executed with a brisk pace characteristic of the era. "Danger!! Death Ray!" is a commendable entry for fans of vintage spy thrillers and early science fiction, delivering a dose of retro-futuristic adventure that remains entertaining for its directness and commitment to its outlandish concept.
