DANCING WITH CORTÉS

Cinemavixion Review

Peter Melaragno's "Dancing With Cortés" embarks on a compelling cinematic journey along La Ruta Cortés, tracing the footsteps of the Spanish conquistador from his initial encounter with the Aztecs in 1519 to the pivotal meeting with Moctezuma. The film delves into the profound tragedy surrounding the obliteration of Tenochtitlan, a city once hailed as one of the grandest metropolises of the indigenous peoples of the Western Hemisphere, now the site of modern-day Mexico City. Through its evocative exploration, the documentary seeks to comprehend the immense loss inherent in the destruction of such a magnificent civilization.
