Albert Ray's 1934 melodrama, "Dancing Man," offers a surprisingly taut mystery wrapped in the glamour of the era's dance halls. Reginald Denny stars as Paul Dtexel, a suave gigolo whose profession of escorting wealthy women leads him into a dangerous entanglement. His world collides with that of Diana Trevor, played by Judith Allen, a young woman who finds herself falling for Paul. Their budding romance is quickly overshadowed by a shocking revelation: Diana's stepmother, Tamara (Natalie Moorhead), is one of Paul's regular clients.
