DAD

Cinemavixion Review

"Dad" presents a poignant narrative centered on Al's quest to find her estranged father after her mother's passing. The film, directed by Rob Lobosco, navigates the complexities of familial bonds and the often-disappointing reality that clashes with idealized memories. Lobosco, also featuring in the cast alongside Lani Hirst and Rajat Sharma, delivers a performance that grounds the emotional core of the story. While the film's reception is not detailed by external metrics, its narrative thrust is clear: a young woman's determined journey towards an uncertain reunion. The Australian production explores themes of hope, identity, and the multifaceted nature of paternal relationships, inviting viewers to contemplate the gap between expectation and reality in the search for belonging.
