CRUSADE OF JOSHUA: A HISTORICAL INVESTIGATION BY PARABLE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary from Parable delves into the enigmatic figure of Joshua, presenting him as one of the Bible's most formidable generals. The narrative questions the historical existence of Joshua, who is credited with the conquest of Canaan, the land promised to the Israelites. The film posits that Joshua's legacy is obscured not by a lack of monumental constructions, but by his destructive actions – the overthrow, burning, and razing of cities. It’s a compelling premise that invites viewers to question the tangible evidence of biblical narratives and consider how history is recorded, particularly when the primary evidence lies in conquest rather than construction. The investigation promises an intriguing look into the challenges of verifying ancient accounts.
