CRUEL JAWS

Cinemavixion Review

Bruno Mattei's 'Cruel Jaws' (1995) plunges viewers into the seemingly idyllic Pleasant Bay, which is suddenly terrorized by a monstrous shark. While the local description hints at a community banding together against a mysterious aquatic threat and a deceitful businessman, the external data clarifies the scenario with a Navy-bred tiger shark and adds a layer of mafia intrigue involving real estate investments. This Italian-American production, starring David Luther and George Barnes Jr., attempts to fuse creature feature thrills with crime drama, though its IMDb rating of 3.3 suggests a mixed reception. Despite its B-movie roots and the potential for camp, 'Cruel Jaws' offers a wild ride, promising a narrative where unlikely heroes must confront both a deadly predator and human avarice to restore peace to their town.
