CRONACHE DI POVERI AMANTI

Cinemavixion Review

Carlo Lizzani's 'Cronache di poveri amanti' plunges us into the heart of Florence in 1925, centering on the poignant story of Mario, a young typesetter who moves to Via del Corno to be closer to his beloved Bianca. The film, released in 1954, offers a glimpse into the lives and struggles of ordinary people against a specific historical backdrop. With a cast featuring Anna Maria Ferrero, Cosetta Greco, and Antonella Lualdi, the movie explores themes of love, proximity, and the everyday realities faced by its characters. While the provided description is brief, it sets a clear stage for a narrative rich in human connection and social observation, characteristic of Lizzani's directorial style.
