CRISIS IN COCAINE VALLEY

Cinemavixion Review

“Crisis in Cocaine Valley” offers a stark and unflinching look into the heart of the Peruvian Andes, a region grappling with the profound impact of the global pandemic on its illicit drug trade. With exclusive access, this documentary navigates the dense rainforests and winding rivers, revealing the skeletal remains of abandoned cocaine pools and active drug labs. The film masterfully captures the collapse of local economies intertwined with the drug trade, painting a vivid picture of the human and environmental cost. It’s a compelling, if sobering, exploration that sheds light on a complex issue, urging viewers to confront the far-reaching consequences of global crises on remote communities.
