Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the harrowing case of Raechell Betts, a young Australian woman whose life was tragically cut short. The narrative unfolds with sensitivity, recounting how Betts became entangled in drug dealing, unknowingly falling prey to a dangerous acquaintance who was also a double murderer. The documentary effectively portrays the devastating impact of her murder, with her remains discovered dismembered on a Phillip Island beach in August 2009. Through poignant interviews with her grieving family and friends, alongside insights from the lead detective, the film examines the systemic failures that tragically allowed this crime to occur. It serves as a somber reminder of the vulnerability of individuals and the critical importance of robust justice systems.
