CRIMES THAT SHOOK AUSTRALIA

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary series, 'Crimes that Shook Australia,' delves into the darkest corners of the nation's history, offering a stark and unflinching look at the events that have left indelible scars on the collective memory. The series distinguishes itself by centering the narratives on the individuals directly impacted by these harrowing incidents, providing a deeply human perspective on otherwise abstract tragedies. Through meticulous reconstruction and personal testimonies, it traces the chilling trajectories leading to infamous crimes, the devastating moments they occurred, and their profound aftermath. Episodes explore a range of horrific acts, from the shocking suburban massacre in Melbourne by Julian Knight to other acts of extreme violence, including axe murders and mass killings. The series commendably seeks to understand the 'why' behind such brutality, making it a compelling, albeit somber, watch for those interested in true crime and the societal factors that contribute to it.
