CRIME DOWN UNDER - REAL RESPONDERS

Cinemavixion Review

This three-part documentary series, 'Crime Down Under - Real Responders,' delves into the complex ethical landscape of undercover policing in New Zealand. Episode Three, 'A New Era,' specifically confronts the challenges faced by the program in the 1990s, a period marked by internal criticism from former agents grappling with addiction and an external surge in organized crime. The narrative promises an exploration of the human toll exacted by these clandestine operations, offering a platform for former agents to share their personal accounts. It raises profound questions about the justification of methods employed and the consequences faced by those who operate in the shadows. This installment seems poised to critically examine the evolution of undercover tactics against the backdrop of societal shifts and evolving criminal threats.
