CREEPING DEATH

Cinemavixion Review

Mario Bianchi's "Creeping Death" from 1972 offers a taut crime thriller centered on a meticulous investigation into a deadly bank robbery. Robert Woods delivers a compelling performance as Federal agent Alan Fields, skillfully portraying his undercover persona as Jonathan Pinkerton, a seemingly unassuming clerk at Lloyds of London. The narrative expertly unfolds the layers of deception as Fields navigates the dangerous aftermath of a heist where greed led to fratricide among the thieves. Woods is ably supported by Frank Braña and Nieves Navarro, whose presence adds further intrigue to the unfolding mystery. While the film may not boast the flashy production values of later years, its strength lies in its tightly-wound plot and grounded performances, making it a noteworthy entry in the crime genre of its era.
