CRAZY WESTERNERS

Cinemavixion Review

Ferdinando Baldi's "Crazy Westerners" presents a peculiar and energetic take on the Spaghetti Western genre, starring the vibrant Rita Pavone as Little Rita. Driven by a fervent, if naive, idealism, she embarks on a crusade against gold, believing it to be the root of all evil. Her quest is aided by the stoic Chief Bisonte Seduto and her companion Francis, leading to a series of confrontations with notorious figures like Ringo and Django. The narrative takes a turn with the introduction of the cunning Mexican bandit Sancho, who seeks to exploit Rita's mission for his own gain. The arrival of Black Star adds another layer of intrigue, questioning his true allegiances. Pavone's spirited performance anchors this unconventional tale, blending action with a unique, almost hallucinatory, pursuit of a better world, making it a memorable, albeit eccentric, cinematic experience.
