CRAZY FAMOUS

Cinemavixion Review

Paul Jarrett's 2017 film "Crazy Famous" presents a darkly comedic tale centered on a fame-obsessed individual who orchestrates an escape from a mental institution alongside a motley crew of fellow inmates. Their collective goal: a final, audacious bid for celebrity. Starring Gregory Lay, Richard Short, and Victor Cruz, the film delves into the extremities of human desire for recognition. While the premise hints at potential for sharp social commentary, the execution, as suggested by its modest IMDb rating of 4.4, appears to tread a more uneven path. Nevertheless, "Crazy Famous" offers a unique narrative premise for those intrigued by unconventional explorations of ambition and the often-absurd pursuit of notoriety in contemporary culture.
