Sam Newfield's "Crashing Through Danger" offers a surprisingly poignant melodrama wrapped in the guise of a cautionary tale. The film centers on three linemen, the rambunctious Torchy, Slim, and Eddie, whose carefree attitude clashes with the stern expectations of their retiring supervisor, "Pop" Foster. A tragic accident, sparked by Torchy's negligence, leads the trio to take in Pop's orphaned daughter, Ann, as their housekeeper. What follows is a tender exploration of burgeoning romance as each man finds himself falling for Ann, and she reciprocates feelings for one of them.
