Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the catastrophic sinking of the Costa Concordia on January 12th, 2012, a tragedy that claimed 32 lives and involved a ship carrying twice the passengers of the Titanic. Director Julien Balestier explores the technical aspects of the disaster, moving beyond the widely publicized images to investigate the events on the command bridge and in the engine room. The film also highlights the monumental salvage operation that followed, where hundreds of engineers and naval architects dedicated over two years to righting and refloating the massive vessel, racing against time to mitigate the damage from one of history's most staggering shipwrecks.
