CONDEMNED

Cinemavixion Review

Eli Morgan Gesner's 'Condemned' plunges viewers into the grimy underbelly of Manhattan, presenting a visceral horror experience. The film meticulously crafts a claustrophobic atmosphere within a condemned building, where societal outcasts and toxic waste converge to spawn a terrifying contagion. Dylan Penn delivers a compelling performance as Maya, a young woman whose search for independence leads her into this nightmarish environment. The narrative effectively transforms the building itself into a character, a decaying monument to urban decay that becomes a breeding ground for unspeakable horrors. While critical reception, as indicated by its Rotten Tomatoes score, suggests a divisive impact, 'Condemned' offers a raw and unflinching descent into a world where survival is a desperate, bloody struggle, making it a noteworthy, albeit grim, entry in the genre.
