CONCEIVED IN LIES

Cinemavixion Review

In "Conceived in Lies," director Soran Mardookhi crafts a tense domestic thriller that spirals into a complex web of deceit. The narrative centers on a grieving widow who, after realizing her dream of motherhood through in vitro fertilization, faces a devastating diagnosis for her child. As a desperate search for a compatible donor unfolds, the protagonist uncovers a disturbing truth that challenges the very foundation of her family's existence. Holly Deveaux delivers a compelling performance as a mother pushed to her limits, navigating a labyrinth of lies and shocking secrets. The film masterfully explores themes of motherhood, genetic legacy, and the ethical quandaries of assisted reproduction, leaving the audience questioning the lengths one would go to for family.
