CONCEALED

Cinemavixion Review

Shane T. Hall's 2017 thriller, "Concealed," plunges viewers into the underbelly of Sydney through the eyes of Max, a South African actor whose life spirals into a desperate search when his girlfriend, Sallie, vanishes. The film masterfully blends the grit of a crime investigation with the internal turmoil of its protagonist. Max's journey, aided by his childhood friend Richard, is not merely a hunt for Sallie but a descent into the city's darker realms and his own psyche. While the film garnered some accolades, including four wins and a nomination, its reception was mixed, reflected in an IMDb rating of 4.4/10. Despite its challenges, "Concealed" offers a compelling, albeit grim, exploration of desperation and obsession, showcasing a raw performance from its lead and a suspenseful narrative.
