CON ARTIST SHAUN GREENALGH

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the fascinating world of Shaun Greenhalgh, a British artist whose career was built on an astonishingly prolific and successful art forgery operation. Operating between 1989 and 2006, Greenhalgh masterfully deceived some of the most esteemed art institutions globally with his creations, which spanned diverse historical periods and cultures, including Roman and Chinese artifacts, medieval relics, and 19th-century paintings. The film offers a compelling look into the mind of a master manipulator and the vulnerabilities within the art world that allowed his deceptions to flourish for so long. It's a captivating exploration of creativity, deception, and the very definition of art.
