COMMANDO: ON THE FRONT LINE

Cinemavixion Review

Chris Terrill's "Commando: On The Front Line" offers an unflinching look at the transformation of young men from civilian life into elite military operatives. The documentary plunges viewers into the rigorous 32-week training regimen of Troop 924 of the Royal Marines, capturing the raw intensity and emotional crucible that forges soldiers destined for the front lines of Afghanistan. With remarkable access, the series doesn't shy away from the exhilaration and fear inherent in such a demanding path. It poses a poignant question: can this intensive preparation truly equip these recruits for the brutal realities of war? The series stands as a powerful testament to human resilience and the profound psychological journey undertaken by those who serve.
