COLORADO

Cinemavixion Review

Joseph Kane's "Colorado" offers a spirited entry into the Western genre, anchored by the charismatic presence of Roy Rogers. Set against the backdrop of the Civil War, the narrative follows Lieut. Burke's investigation into disruptions in Colorado, uncovering a plot involving the notorious Macklin and the unexpected presence of Captain Mason, who turns out to be Burke's brother. The film adeptly weaves elements of frontier justice with familial conflict, providing a compelling plot that keeps the audience engaged. Rogers, alongside the ever-reliable George 'Gabby' Hayes and the charming Pauline Moore, delivers a performance true to his iconic status. While the plot might tread familiar Western territory, the solid direction and the chemistry among the cast make "Colorado" a satisfying watch for fans of classic Westerns, offering a glimpse into a tumultuous period through the lens of a compelling frontier story.
