COLONIALS

Cinemavixion Review

Andrew Balek's "Colonials" presents a compelling, albeit bleak, vision of humanity's struggle for survival against extraterrestrial threats. The narrative thrust follows a disoriented space colonist, whose journey from Mars to Earth is violently interrupted, forcing him to confront his amnesia and join a desperate Resistance. Greg Kriek delivers a performance steeped in confusion and burgeoning resolve, anchoring the film's exploration of identity and purpose amidst intergalactic conflict. The supporting cast, including Sean Kanan and Daniel Roebuck, adds gravitas to the dire circumstances. While the film grapples with grand themes of extinction and the unknown, it is the personal quest for truth and the fight for a future that truly resonate, offering a gritty, character-driven take on a familiar sci-fi premise.
