CLOSED SEA

Cinemavixion Review

Closed Sea" plunges viewers into the harrowing reality of migrants attempting to flee Libya for Italy amidst the 2011 conflict. The film unflinchingly portrays the desperation of those undertaking a perilous sea voyage, only for their hopes of sanctuary to be cruelly dashed by a prior political agreement. The narrative captures the fleeting moments of elation upon sighting the Italian Navy, a joy that quickly evaporates as the grim truth of their situation unfolds. This is a stark and essential piece of storytelling, highlighting the human cost of geopolitical decisions and the profound vulnerability of individuals caught in the crossfire of war and policy. The film serves as a powerful testament to the resilience and tragic fate of those seeking a better life.
