CLIMATE FOR MURDER

Cinemavixion Review

Albert Nerenberg's 1995 documentary, "Climate for Murder," is a somber and impactful examination of a violent summer in Montreal. The film unflinchingly chronicles a series of brutal murders and attacks targeting the city's LGBTQ+ community, highlighting the palpable fear and growing public outrage as these crimes remain largely unsolved. Through its stark portrayal, Nerenberg compels viewers to confront the societal issues and prejudices that underpinned this tragic period, making it a significant, albeit difficult, watch for those interested in social justice documentaries.
