CLEAVER FAMILY REUNION

Cinemavixion Review

H.M. Coakley's "Cleaver Family Reunion" (2013) offers a slice of African-American comedy centered on a family whose dynamics are hilariously tested during a reunion. The film, starring Trae Ireland, Sandy Simmons, and Efé, delves into the often chaotic yet ultimately unifying nature of family ties. While the critical reception, as indicated by an IMDb rating of 4.1/10, suggests a mixed response, the premise promises an engaging exploration of familial relationships through a lens of humor and relatable misadventures. It's a film that, despite its perceived flaws, aims to resonate with audiences through its depiction of a delightfully dysfunctional clan navigating the complexities of togetherness.
