CITY OF VULTURES

Cinemavixion Review

Marcus Carothers' "City of Vultures" plunges viewers into a grim urban landscape where survival is a daily battle. The film follows Short as he navigates the treacherous path between a desire for a straight life post-imprisonment and the persistent pull of the streets. Carothers, who also stars in the film, crafts a tense crime thriller that effectively captures the suffocating atmosphere of a neighborhood steeped in violence and temptation. While the plot may tread familiar ground, the film's raw energy and commitment to depicting the harsh realities of its setting make it a compelling watch. The narrative's focus on Short's internal struggle against external pressures creates a palpable sense of urgency, underscoring the profound challenges faced by those seeking redemption in such environments.
