CITY COPS

Cinemavixion Review

A high-octane blend of kung fu and crime, "City Cops" (1989) plunges viewers into the gritty underbelly of urban justice. Cynthia Rothrock commands the screen as a tenacious FBI agent, forging an unlikely alliance with seasoned Hong Kong detectives portrayed by Michael Miu and Kent Tong. Their mission: to dismantle a dangerous international crime syndicate. The film doesn't shy away from explosive action, featuring intense martial arts sequences choreographed with precision and explosive gunfights that punctuate the narrative. The chemistry between the leads, coupled with the formidable presence of Michiko Nishiwaki as a deadly assassin, elevates this 1989 crime comedy beyond standard genre fare. It's a thrilling ride that showcases Rothrock's formidable screen presence and delivers a satisfying dose of action cinema.
