CINDERELLA

Cinemavixion Review

This adaptation of the classic fairy tale, set against the vibrant backdrop of the 1950s, offers a unique and engaging twist. The narrative reimagines Cinderella, here named Zezolla, navigating a world where familial bonds are tested by a cruel stepmother. The inclusion of eccentric characters, such as an anti-social mermaid and a rock 'n' roll-loving prince, injects a fresh, almost surreal quality into the familiar story. The film's strength lies in its stylish visual presentation, capturing the essence of mid-20th century fashion and glamour. While the director is not specified in the local data, the ensemble cast, including Sharon Maughan and Gideon Turner, deliver commendable performances that anchor the fantastical elements. This "Cinderella" is a charming exploration of resilience and love, proving that timeless tales can always find new, captivating forms.
