CHRISTMAS TAIL

Cinemavixion Review

Elias Underhill's "Christmas Tail" (2014) offers a sweet, if predictable, holiday romance centered on the unexpected bonds formed over a wayward canine. The film stars Chandra West as Maggie, a single mother who, in an effort to bring Christmas cheer to her son Ethan, adopts a Labrador from a local shelter. However, this furry friend already has a devoted owner, Jack, and a penchant for escaping, leading to a series of comical and ultimately heartwarming encounters. The narrative cleverly intertwines the quest to reunite the dog with its owner with the burgeoning romance between Maggie and Jack. While the plot may tread familiar ground, the performances, particularly from West and Antonio Cupo as Jack, lend genuine warmth and charm. The film successfully captures the festive spirit, making it a cozy, family-friendly watch for the holiday season, exploring themes of second chances and the joy of finding love amidst the twinkling lights and falling snow.
