CHRISTMAS IN THE HIGHLANDS

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Christmas in the Highlands,' director Ryan Dewar crafts a festive romantic comedy set against the breathtaking, snow-kissed landscapes of Scotland. The film, released in 2019, stars Dan Jeannotte as a dashing Earl preparing for his annual ball and Brooke Burfitt as a determined New York sales manager sent to acquire a rare perfume. What begins as a business transaction, however, soon blossoms into an unexpected romance, proving that sometimes the greatest gifts aren't found under the tree, but in the most unlikely of circumstances. While the film may not break new ground in the genre, its charming performances, picturesque setting, and heartwarming narrative offer a delightful escape, embodying the cozy spirit of the holiday season. It's a sweet, if predictable, Yuletide tale perfect for a cozy evening in.
